Line spacing and numbering

Some journals ask for double-spaced paragraphs, and it is also often useful to number lines. Here is how to do so:

% In the preamble
\usepackage{lineno} % For line numbering
\usepackage{setspace} % For line spacing

% In the document (somewhere after \begin{document})
%% Line numbering
% Numbers every line (change the value for less frequent numbers)
\modulolinenumbers[1]
% Turn on numbering
\linenumbers

%% Line spacing: double spacing on
\doublespacing
% and to go back to single spacing, for instance in the bibliography, type
\singlespacing
